When do we first learn what is valuable?

ID Edition explores the origins of how we learn to value precious objects. Drawing on childhood memories of toys, fairy tales and oversized imitation jewels, the collection questions the cultural narratives that teach us what is desirable, valuable and beautiful.

Cast in silver 925, each ring transforms the exaggerated scale and playful forms of childhood jewellery into wearable sculpture. Familiar ideas of treasure and adornment are reimagined through precious materials, blurring the boundaries between fantasy and reality, innocence and sophistication.

Named after Freud's concept of the id, the collection speaks to the instinctive, playful impulses that shape our earliest understanding of beauty, identity and desire. Rather than rejecting those impulses, ID Edition celebrates them, inviting us to reconsider the emotional and cultural value we attach to precious objects.
